Why are you delaying the ideas you have for your future?

I asked my husband what he will do when my business provides all the income we need and he doesn’t have to work. 

“I would love to have a small farm and sell the produce and my homemade hot sauce.” 

So, I said, “If this brings you joy, then why wait?”  So, in November we planted 300 bulbs of garlic in preparation for the 2021 opening of our “Kast Family Farm Stand” (we are open to creative names if you’d like to throw some out there).

And so, I ask you what is something you dream of doing but are waiting for just the right circumstances before moving forward?  Instead of waiting ask yourself “What is one thing I can do to start moving toward this picture?” and then do it!  Circumstances don’t have to be picture-perfect, there is no reason to delay your joy.

The many benefits of adventure!

Freedom and adventure are two of my core values. I find that the more I travel, the more I learn about other cultures and other people, and that keeps the flow of understanding and therefore non-judgment open. Whenever I travel for business or as a family, for Marcy’s travel soccer games, I make sure to add a few days on either side of the trip to explore. This has proved to be both educational and fun, but more than that has provided us an experience that is outside of our normal routines.

Before the uptick in COVID, we had the opportunity to take an outside walking tour of Philadelphia. We even got to see the home where the Declaration of Independence was signed. There was no better place or better time for us to experience our history and our belief that “ We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”
